Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been earned on hard surfaces
A comeback the Russian player claimed his first championship for nearly 30 months with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open final.
Medvedev, a ex- world number one, has endured a difficult period, managing just one win at the Grand Slams and experiencing a difficult moment at the American major.
His varied form on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his serving in specific - resulted in him falling of the top ten and finally parting ways with former trainer Gilles Cervara.
Currently working with his coach and Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily advanced in the recent weeks - climaxing in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over opponent Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's maiden title after the Rome competition and maiden on a hard surface since spring of that year.
Victory also means Medvedev has secured 21 victories at 21 distinct competitions.
"For the first time I have attended a competition with my two daughters together, so to secure a trophy is especially meaningful," commented world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my child my daughter, because the maiden victory I won when my child her name was born was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his previous six championship matches, including in the German tournament in the past months.
The player's retrieving play style and frequent outbursts on the tennis court had led observers to wonder if his ability to play at the elite level was over.
However the athlete has made changes in recent weeks, making an effort to come to the net and compete aggressively, reinforced by an better service.
Medvedev fought back from a disadvantage in the first set against the tricky Frenchman, securing 4 of the last five points to gain the advantage.
The competitors traded service breaks in the middle set before Moutet, bidding for his first professional victory, took control to create a third set.
The opponent defended four initial break points in a tight third set before Medvedev secured a break to fifteen to close out the victory.
Suitably, Medvedev clinched victory with a rally at the net area, with the Frenchman unable to manage a return after a lengthy match.
